Who is Sleurink?
Funny you should ask. But I'm just a Dutch guy named Sleurink who loves lyrics and music.
How did it all start?
It all just started as a pure interest of mine. As a systems engineer I always wanted my own website and started with some PHP programming. I started out with a simple search page to find some lyrics, when I realized that more people where coming and asking for more lyrics.
I see songs without lyrics, why?
We add new songs to our database almost everyday. But we don't always have the lyrics and hope that YOU can help us with all these songs. So if you see a page that doesn't have lyircs and you have found the lyrics at another place, help us and submit these lyrics.
How often do you update your lyrics?
New lyrics are added nearly everyday. So keep your eyes open for new lyrics or albums. Ofcourse submitting lyrics will help to increase the volume of lyrics we can offer. So if you have any lyrics, please submit them.
What is a Week CD?
Well, every week I select an album which (I think) totally rocks! These are albums I often listen to while driving towards work or when I'm at home. As you will see, I have a wide range of artists / music styles. So...no voting for the week cd...just my own taste.
I see advertising on your site, aren't you making money?
No! It costs me thousands of euros to buy a decent machine and it costs me hundreds every month to keep it on the web. All proceeds from this site goes toward improving it. Sleurink.nl is a not-for-profit site, it's a hobby.
I am an artist and I don't want my lyrics on this site!
We respect the rights of all artists. All lyrics are property and copyright of their owners. All lyrics provided for educational purposes only. This site is here to promote the talent of artists. If a label or an artist, for any reason, wants the lyrics of the artist to be removed, this will happen without any problem and with full co-operation.
